Cortofondo

Cortofondo (~35km)

This bike route for the Okanagan Granfondo Penticton offers a shorter yet equally stunning ride, perfect for beginners or those looking for a more relaxed challenge. Starting in Penticton, the Cortofondo takes cyclists along the shores of Skaha Lake, where the sparkling water and surrounding hills provide a beautiful backdrop for the journey. Riders will travel south toward the quaint community of Okanagan Falls, a scenic destination known for its charming atmosphere.

The route is mostly flat with gentle rolling hills, making it accessible to cyclists of all levels while still offering some variation in terrain. As you ride along the eastern side of Skaha Lake, you'll be treated to lake views and vineyards that capture the essence of the Okanagan. After reaching Okanagan Falls, cyclists will loop back along the western shore of Skaha Lake, experiencing a fresh perspective of the landscape.

This ride is ideal for those who want to enjoy the camaraderie of a cycling event without committing to a longer course. There will also be awards for the top three male and top three females who complete the distance.

Aid station locations will be announced in the spring of 2025.
